Director's name: Rebekah Edwards, Hayley Kent & Poppy Smith

The fundamental concept of our music video is based around the idea of a normal girl living an ordinary life. She has just broken up with her boyfriend but doesn’t care and is happy and oblivious to the things that are going on around her.
Centering mainly around the lip-synching of the singer, we will also have a narrative that will explore our theme. She is just an ordinary girl and this is shown throughout the video. During the lip-synching parts of the video she will change clothes many times symbolising her femininity and individuality.
At the beginning we will have shots of her with her boyfriend, in the time they were together. These will be in black and white- showing that they are in the past. We then see her walk out of the black and white shots and open a door into colour, showing that she has closed the door on her old life and has started a fresh where everything is happy and colourful.
Each verse will show our artist in a different location with a different outfit on.
During the verses, we will refer closely to the lyrics. The first will show a sign saying ‘Gabby I love you’ which is linked to the line ‘cause you said it and you wrote it down’. The camera will then pan upwards to reveal the signer in a new location, she will holding some pearls in her hand and have fairy lights draped around her. This is related to the line ‘gave me those pearls’ and also reinforces the idea of her femininity and how she wants to be treated like a princess.
During the middle section of the song, our performer will be seen enjoying herself and not caring what anybody thinks of her. Using editing techniques, we will see the performer standing in a large green area in one outfit with an umbrella, we will then see her appear in another location with a different outfit and umbrella. This will happen many times, creating a surreal effect and a an idea of a dream world that our artist lives in.
The song has a series of repeated verses, allowing for a repeated theme. The chorus will show her spinning around outside, followed by a pile of cheese on toast disappearing one by one from a plate, showing she is quirky and random and this fits in with the typical conventions of this genre of song.
The next verse will show her in a restaurant recreating an experience similar to what she had when she was with her boyfriend. She will be acting in melodramatic way, as if she was making fun of people that take relationships to seriously. The idea that she is unromantic is created in this verse. Using the line from the song ‘you can grow flowers, from where, dirt used to be’ , instead of flowers our performer will hold up a dead rose at this point, emphasizing how her relationship is dead and there is nothing left of it.
We will see the performer against a patterned background, she will hold a large pillow with the same pattern in front of her so that she is covering herself, she will then remove the pillow and sing some of the verse before recovering herself. This will be repeated several times and each time she will being wearing a different outfit with a different hairstyle. This is quite surreal and also highlights her love of clothes and styles; just like a typical girl. She is having fun and not worrying about her relationship.
The video will end with a fast paced montage of many different shots of our artists in different places, doing different things. This will round it all to a close and will flash us typical parts of her life showing that she’s just a cheerful, normal girl in her own little world.
The end product will be a humorous and colourful music video that is original as well as modern. It will also provide the audience with an unforgettable viewing experience.
